Elizabeth Koka is a research and development expert with a keen focus on the intersection of livelihoods, environmental health, and social inclusion.
She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Health from the American University of Beirut, a Bachelor’s degree in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics from Kenyatta University, and has completed an MBA certification program with Ability-USA. Her research expertise spans marginalized communities, youth, women’s livelihoods, and sustainable development.
As Executive Lead for Gift Catalyst-Partnerships and Research Development at Capacity First, Elizabeth oversees the creation and strengthening of strategic partnerships, ensuring that Capacity First’s programs are research-driven and impactful.
She has a track record of leading high-impact research initiatives INGOs and Research Firms focusing on refugees, marginalized women in Kenya’s camps/settlements, and youth-driven social networks/impact within MENA context.
Her research and partnership-driven work in climate-smart livelihood within Agri-Tech facilitated the growth of scalable, climate-smart solutions for small businesses, ensuring that these enterprises can thrive in challenging environments.
